OVERVIEW TIMELINES
TIMELINES of historical facts show the path,
course or trajectory which America has followed over the moral ecology of each generation.
Walt Whitman’s poem “Song Of The
Open Road” is about struggle and war. So, I have picked up from Whitman
that these timelines over the moral terrain of each generation are like “Battle
Maps.”
These
timelines are organized into generational time segments based upon sociological
historical research of William Strauss & Neil Howe.[1]
The dates of events and factoids which
comprise the timelines are drawn from contemporary books by popular authors listed in each
timeline.
